This week visiting Dominican Republic Free Daily I found a company that surpasses any preconceived scheme of a traditional newspaper circulation either free or subscription payment.
Analyzing each of the keys to success that have placed this as the leading newspaper readership in the Dominican Republic, with more than 50% market share in both the ABC class in the total market as I can summarize the five key points:
Born Leader: From the first day it started to move was the free newspaper of general circulation in the Dominican Republic. This sounds easy but is the result of combining a complex network of production and distribution, together with an impartial quality content that offers readers the information you need. After your readers capture the information in this way as the first choice in the morning is difficult for other medium now can overcome this habit.
Knowing your audience: With more than 130,000 copies distributed from Monday to Friday, manages to directly impact the audience that wants to go. Distributes more than 80% in homes where it has clearly defined its reader knows where you live and what your needs and the rest in offices and shopping malls where each copy will come to several readers. Advertisers know this and have created this diary where bids converge supermarkets, cars, phones and brands who want to accompany this hearing Diario Libre
Vanguard Technology: This newspaper seems to have no restrictions, can print all your pages (up to 72 some days) in full color and inserted automatically up to eight different inserts inside and six annexes to the paper, which can be bagged if they wish . All this can be seen from their presses every day, open to any of its advertisers.
Brand Image: The image of this newspaper is impeccable with almost total acceptance and reflecting to their readers and advertisers with a brand young, agile and fresh.
Team: Free Journal has a multidisciplinary team of highly qualified professionals that make a difference and most of all is proud to be part of Onmimedia Group and its flagship brand Diario Libre.
In short I think Diario Libre is a very successful business model, which startles in a country with a saturation of media that is especially effective for clients and highly valued within their readers.

General Assembly for PAL in Miami brings together the 14 most prestigious newspapers of Latin America with agencies in United States (Click to read more)
[Miami, FL] – With a firm step towards a sustained consolidation in United States, Periodicos Asociados Latinoamericanos (PAL) celebrated its second members’ assembly. It took place last May in the city of Miami where PAL has its official headquarters. The major US advertising agencies who are also clients of the media for Latin America made presence.
For this occasion, they counted on representative members from the 14 most prestigious editorial houses of 9 countries in Latin America, with two more joining soon. The meeting served as an effective liaison for the media to directly communicate with major advertising agencies strategically located in the city of Miami.
Through this, the representative members were able to share points of view on the Latin-American market, the priorities of US announcers, mutual needs, job opportunities and future plans.
Among the planning agencies of the media present during PAL’s assembly there were LatinMedios, Mediaedge: cia, Internet Media Services, US Media Consulting, Interamerican Marketing Solution, StarMedia, DV Advertising, Komunik, OMD, Filiado and Punto FOX. As platform for the print and digital Latin-American media, PAL has worked to strengthen ties with these and other agencies since its beginnings in the US market during the mid of 2008.
“We feel really honored that all these big agencies had come to visit us to exchange opinions with our media. All have shown to be very interested in the media portfolio that PAL offers its clients”, said Andres Mata, president of the association. Similarly, he also pointed out that” PAL has consolidated deeper in the North American market. With the addition of two new members, PAL’s offer reaches more than 2.5 million Latin-American homes in its Sunday editions.”
PAL operates directly with more than 16 agencies in Miami and administers the commercialization of its members’ newspapers, magazines and internet guidelines.
Periodicos Asociados Latinoamericanos is currently constituted by Clarin from Argentina, El Diario La Tercera from Chile, El Universal, La Verdad and El Informador from Venezuela; El Pais, El Universal, La Vanguardia and El Colombiano from Colombia; La Republica from Peru, El Diario De Hoy from ElSalvador, El Diario Hoy from Ecuador, El Diario Libre from Dominican Republic and La Prensa from Nicaragua. PAL offers one multimedia solution with more than 20 publications, 19 internet portals, and 60 magazines and media mobile pages.
Its offices are located in Blue Lagoon Drive, Miami, Florida 33126 and can be contacted through its General Manager, Vicente Jubes, phone number (305) 677-2321 or (305) 300-0404, email: contact@latpal.com
